CQG Trader considers the options premium style (equity style or futures style) in the calculation of the current day’s Account Balance.
• Equity style options = premium is paid up front when the order is filled. MVO/UPL is calculated for equity style options. Often called “premium style.”
• Futures style options = premium is paid on expiry/exercise. OTE is calculated for futures style options.
The side of the trade (buy or sell) defines whether the premium is paid or received.
On the Open Positions pane:
• If data is not available, “NA” is displayed.
• If data is delayed, the font is italic and a warning icon is displayed.
• If yesterday’s settlement price is used instead of last trade/BBA, the font is italic.
Tooltips provide additional information.
If multiple issues exist, only one is displayed. Issues are considered in this priority: expired instrument, no enablements (data is not available), data delayed, and finally yesterday’s settlement price used. Yesterday’s settlement price is used when no last trade or best bid/ask data is available.
On the Account Summary pane:
• If data is not available, the font is red, and OTE/MVO/UPL/PL/NLV/YOTE are calculated without the unavailable symbols.
• If data is delayed, the font is italic and a warning icon is displayed.
Tooltips provide details.
